The City of love, filled with fear,
Where innocents have fallen,
Family we hold dear.
When terror fills the streets,
And bullets paint the empty sky,
Our lives they will take,
Among many we die.
Our loses have been great,
Our nights terrifying and long,
When tension floods the heaving air,
Cut short when guns shriek their song.
But remember those we lose,
In our hearts we hold close,
The memories of life,
Of those we love most.
Respect our friends,
Our family, our brave,
Those who stood tall,
And their lives they gave.
Unite together, when many become one,
Under the colours of red, white and blue,
Where bereaved feel pain and anguish,
But still their hearts hold true.
As one, we hope,
That this nightmare will end,
As when they give us grief,
It is strength we will send.
